Tending the Flame
This week, I’ve found myself buried under academic responsibilities, preparing for the spring semester. It is the eternal struggle of every creator—to be torn from dreams and visions and drawn into the mundane necessities of the world. When I was younger, I resented such stolen time, yearning for a life spent wholly in creation. But I’ve since learned that this tension is the nature of life itself: the struggle to reach toward light and beauty while trudging through the weight of the everyday.
And yet, I’ve kept struggling forward! In the evenings, after completing my academic work, I’ve kept vigil through the night, crafting my visions into form. I’ve finished the layout for The Doomer and am now awaiting the proofs before sending it out into the world. If you’re unfamiliar with this project, you can read more about it here.
I’ve also created an eBook version of Bjornlinga Saga #1, inviting as many readers as possible into the realms of Archaios. For those who prefer eBooks, it’s available on Amazon for just $0.99. And if you haven’t yet begun the journey, I’m also giving away 100 copies—there’s no better time to explore the saga!
Whatever difficulties you may be facing, remember this: “The Long Night looms, but a spark of hope remains.” May you also walk toward your light.
